Intercession: The Throne Ministry # 6

Intercessory Prayer (continued)

22. Being an intercessor will involve one's whole life. In order to be an intercessor, it will be necessary to lay down one's life (spirit, soul, and body, and in some cases, people will lay down their physical lives).

"... And if I perish, I perish" (Esther 4:16).

23. An intercessor will recognize spiritual conflict in the heavens (Eph. 6:10-18; Jude; Matthew 18:18; James 5:17, 18).

24. An intercessor prays and intercedes in the night hours ... stands in the night season and prays for the Body of Christ.

"Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord" (Psalm 134:1).

In the night season, there is no light. It is a period of great darkness, a time when the power of darkness is at work. The ones who stand in the night season are those who stand in the Holiest of All where there is no light other than the Light of the Glory of God in the Face of Jesus Christ.

Those who stand by night are God's instruments of prayer "to presence the Lord" - in order that the Body of Christ may be "fitly framed together" and grow "unto an holy Temple in the Lord: in Whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit" (Ephesians 2:21, 22).

"And I saw no Temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof" (Revelation 21:22, 23).

"And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him; and they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever" (Revelation 22:3-5).
