Intercession: The Throne Ministry # 11

Intercessory Prayer (continued)

Father, we thank You for such an opportunity - for it is such a privilege to be a part of this ministry which ascends up before You for Your use; and becomes, in some marvelous and incomprehensible way, mingled with the fragrant spices of our Lord's Crushed Life upon that golden altar; the altar of our Great High Priest, our Saviour and our Lord, Christ Jesus. Oh, God, our hearts join with the hearts of those disciples who so long ago besought our Lord and Master,

"Lord, Teach us to pray."

"Lord, teach us to pray" that we may always pray prayers that will continue to be effectual throughout all the ages - prayers that can be used to bring about the Divine and Ultimate Intention of our God. Lord, teach us to pray prayers like those that our brother Jude prayed when he wrote to the Church of God:

"But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith - make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher - praying in the Holy Spirit; guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah [which will bring you] unto life eternal. And (refute [so as to] convict some who dispute with you, and) on some have mercy who waver and doubt. [Strive to] save others, snatching [them] out of [the] fire; on others take pity [but] with fear, loathing even the garment spotted by the flesh and polluted by their sensuality. Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling, or slipping, or falling and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory - with unspeakable, ecstatic delight - in triumphant joy and exultation, to the one only God, our Saviour through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion, and power and authority, before all time and now and forever - unto all the ages of eternity. Amen - so be it" (Jude 20:25).

    1. Glad you enjoyed! T. Austin-Sparks is one of the best classic ministers I have found. His writing is Bible-based and scripturally sound. God bless you, Wayne.
