By The Blood of the Lamb

Lord, help me to reflect upon the truth You reveal today. Amen

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (Revelation 12:11)

Confession which leads to cleansing is necessary if we want to have the power to overcome our enemy. There's another kind of confession that brings conquering power as  well - your testimony.

When satan comes against you, testify as to Who Jesus is. Remind him that Jesus is Lord. He is the Lamb Who died and the Lion who rules.

Testify as to who you are. Use the truth of God's Word as your testimony. Tell satan that when Jesus died, you died; when Jesus was buried, you were buried; when Jesus was raised, you were raised; when Jesus ascended, you ascended, and now you are seated with Jesus in the heavenly places! (Ephesians 2:4-7). You are redeemed, accepted and empowered by the Lord Jesus Christ - that's why the devil doesn't want you to understand who you are! Learn your testimony and use it as a weapon against him.

You can also use satan's own testimony against him. When he throws an accusation in your face, just point him to the Cross and remind him that his back is broken. And if you've put your sins under the blood, then by the authority of Christ you can say: satan, I've had enough! I am a blood-bought child of God. You have no rights, no power, or no authority in my life. You're trespassing on my Father's property - in the name of Jesus, be gone!

Simply by testifying about Who Jesus is, who you are in Christ, and who satan is, you can be victorious over your accuser!

Now, truly powerful testimonies are confessions backed up by commitment. This verse speaks of believers who "did not love their lives to the death." This doesn't mean they served the Lord until they died; it means they purposed to serve the Lord even if it cost them their lives. That kind of commitment brings power the enemy cannot stand against.
