Lord, prepare my heart for Your transforming truth today. Amen
"... for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints."
God has a few more ways to beautify the Bride of Christ as He's making us ready for that glorious day of the grand wedding in the sky. The next beauty treatment may seem to be one of the most dramatic - because the miraculous transformation happens in an instant! The Bible says we're going to be changed "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye" at the rapture (1 Corinthians 15:51-52). That's a great step in our beautification process, because we're going to be like Him! We're born into the image of the earthly; we're going to bear the image of the heavenly (1 Corinthians 15;49). Our vile bodies are going to be transformed and made like His glorious body. And all of the sinful proclivities of this flesh that we bear now will be left behind.
Finally, our rewards in heaven will be used to make us beautiful, as our attire will be determined by the righteous deeds we have done (Revelation 19:8). We will be rewarded for the ways we allowed the righteousness of Christ to be demonstrated through our lives. We need to live righteously each day so that our wedding gown will be gorgeous!
All of these things are going to make us absolutely beautiful. When the Lord gets finished with us, we're going to be the most studding bride ever - without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing (Ephesians 5:25-28). Nothing less will do for the Lord Jesus Christ, our wonderful heavenly Bridegroom.
What an amazing moment we are preparing for - when we will meet our Lord in the air and faith will turn to sight, hope will become reality and love will increase to unbelievable dimensions.
